DEAD MAN’S HAND
Dead Man’s Hand is a band that has risen from the ashes of the Seattle music scene with hard driven rhythms, piercing lead solo’s and breath-taking talent. Dead Man’s Hand will leave behind a sweet heavy rock taste in your ears. DMH was formed in Seattle in 2012 by founder/vocalist Kasey McGrew when he teamed up with guitarist Bret Palmer. After struggling relentlessly to finish the line up they decided to move in 2013 to a less saturated music scene and Bret’s old stomping grounds, Kansas City.
This move soon proved to be exactly what Dead Man’s Hand needed. Once in Kansas City the lineup was completed with Jeffery Kent on bass and James Biscuit Aguiar on drums. Soon after, they were opening for acts such as HURT, PopEvil and The Dreaming on some of Kansas’s biggest stages like The Voodoo Lounge and Granada. By the end of 2014, they had finished their first tour with Burning Tide, James was endorsed by Soultone Cymbals and DMH was nominated and won “Best New Artist” in the Midwest Music Awards hosted by Project Backstage.
In 2015 DMH worked even harder and was played on several radio stations including 95.9 KSUN and 101.5 The Hog, interviewed on several radio shows and completed their second tour playing in Washington, Oregon, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Ohio, Iowa, Oklahoma, Missouri and their home state Kansas. They also were honored with several more nominations at the 2015 Midwest Music Awards such as “Album of the Year”, “Artist of the Year” “Best Guitarist” and “Best Male Vocalist” and just recently released a single “Bound to Follow” with great feed back. In 2016 DMH started the year off with more out of town shows, radio interviews and will be featured in Mods in Oz Magazine in March. Big things are coming for this creative and hard working band.
